New Yorkers Continue to Wait for Medical Aid in Dying

Thank you to everyone who responded to our urgent messages about the Medical Aid in Dying Act, A. 995, S. 2445. We came closer than ever, and yet still the legislative leaders declined to bring the bill to a vote. We are deeply disappointed that after 8 years the bill did not get a vote, despite the majority of New Yorkers wanting this compassionate option at the end of their lives. During the next few months, we will be working hard to hopefully ensure educate that the Medical Aid in Dying Act becomes law next year. In the meantime, if you would like to call your legislators and the legislative leaders to continue to put pressure on them, it is making a difference!
