New Online Video Library & Social Worker Courses

Earlier this year, we launched the beginning of our virtual programming with webinars, a comedy show, a book and film series, and an expanded social media presence. We are thrilled to announce two new additions to our virtual program, our Continuing Education Courses for Social Workers and our Online Video Library:

Continuing Education for Social Workers

You asked; we listened! Starting today, our self-study courses for social workers are live. We are currently offering four courses: three with recordings of past webinars and one course entitled, “What Social Workers Need to Know About End of Life Care.” All courses involve watching a video and completing a quiz (that can be retaken if needed). Upon completion of a course, you will automatically receive a certificate for your records. Courses are $15 each, or you can purchase a package of all four courses for $50.

End of Life Choices New York, Inc. is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers (#SW-0464).

From now until October 31st, you can use discount code EOLCNY10 for 10% off any single course or the all-course package. For more information, or to complete a course, please visit

Online Video Library

Looking for recordings of past webinars or other videos on end-of-life topics? Visit our Online Video Library where you can watch recordings of past events, documentaries, and other videos. Recent additions include:

  • “Decision-Making & COVID-19” and “Voluntarily Stopping Eating & Drinking (VSED): An Overview” both with Dr. Judith Schwarz, Clinical Director of EOLCNY
  • “Palliative Care & COVID-19 Frontlines” with Dr. Dana Lustbader, Chair of the Dept. of Palliative Care at ProHEALTH
  • “The Case for Medical Aid in Dying in New York” featuring a panel sharing their perspectives as a doctor, lawyer, legislator, person living with cancer, and person with disabilities
