PBS Screening of Defining Hope

April 7, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

End of Life Choices New York has partnered with the producers of the documentary Defining Hope to host screenings across New York State. The documentary will now air on PBS stations in the greater New York Area!

Defining Hope, Defining Hope, the latest project from filmmaker Carolyn Jones, is a story about people weighing what matters most at the most fragile junctures in life, and the nurses who guide them. Calvary nurse Diane Ryan, RN, is featured prominently in the project. The film follows patients with life-threatening illnesses as they make choices about how they want to live, how much medical technology they can accept, what they hope for and how that hope evolves when life is threatened. It reminds us of the importance of making advanced directives plans well ahead of time.

Defining Hope will air throughout April and May on PBS stations nationwide. In the greater New York area, you may tune in to WLIW/Channel 21 on:

  • Thursday, April 5 at 10:00 pm
  • Saturday, April 7 at 5:00 pm
  • Monday, April 30 at 7:00 pm
  • Tuesday, May 1 at 12 am, 8:00 am and 2:00 pm
