Medical aid in dying (MAID) is now legal in New York State, with an implementation date of August 6, 2026. Many New York and Vermont residents cross the state line for their medical care, so it’s crucial to understand the law and the process in each.

Mandi Zucker, LSW, CT, is the Executive Director of End of Life Choices New York, and she’ll be joining us to talk about the New York law and process for medical aid in dying, and highlight what we all need to know about what’s different in New York and Vermont.
