Being Mortal: Rights, Choices and Important Conversations (Bronx, NY)

Based on the bestselling book by Dr. Atul Gawande, the PBS documentary film “Being Mortal” explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness and their relationships with the doctors, nurses and family members who care for them. The screening of the film a the Allerton Library will be followed by a discussion led by an End of Life Choices community educator that will provide information and tips on advance care planning, choosing a healthcare agent, talking with your doctor, and communicating your wishes to your family. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
