Who pays for palliative care?

Palliative care is billed the same as any specialist visit (such as a cardiology visit). Almost all insurance covers palliative care, but there may be copays or deductibles depending on your insurance plan. It’s also helpful to check if a particular medical facility or provider is in- or out-of-network for your insurance. A palliative care social worker can help you understand your coverage.
